
Corinna Goron, President
Ms. Goron began her career
in healthcare in 1989. She has an extensive background in
hospital finance from community hospitals to university teaching
hospitals. She has experience in Finance, Reimbursement, and Patient
Financial Services. Ms. Goron's career includes work ranging
from accounting, budgeting and forecasting to refinancing hospital
bonds to due diligence on licensing issues, mergers and
acquisitions, and the reimbursement and billing methodologies for
new technology. Her previous position as a Controller for an 800
bed, not-for-profit university teaching hospital included
responsibilities for the finance and reimbursement departments.
In this position, Ms. Goron was involved in the Financial
Improvement Task Force and the Medicaid Strategic Task Force. She is
currently the head of governmental reimbursement services to include
Medicare Disproportionate Share in a number of states and also has
expertise in Medicaid DSH in Texas and California and Crossover Bad
Debts.
Ms. Goron graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Accounting. She also
earned a Master's in Business Administration from the
University of Redlands in California. Ms. Goron is a member
of the Northern California, and the Lone Star, and Gulf Coast
Chapters of Hospital Financial Management Association (HFMA), American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), and the Texas
Association for Healthcare Financial Administration (TAHFA).
Heather Johnston, Vice President
Ms. Johnston is responsible
for the Medicare Bad Debt services delivered to hospital clients
across the country. She began her career in the Crossover Bad
Debt (Medi-Medi) reimbursement business unit in 1995. Ms.
Johnston is responsible for preparing and supporting the Medicare
Crossover and Charity Care bad debt logs, as well as identifying
unbilled claims and providing the billing service for these claims.
She works closely with the Hospital Reimbursement and Business
Offices, while also working with the Fiscal Intermediary to ensure
compliance and maximum reimbursement on the bad debt logs.
Ms. Johnston graduated from California State University at Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. She is a member of the Northern California Chapter of HFMA.
Brandon Tan, Vice President
Mr. Tan has over 23 years of
experience in the healthcare environment and has worked in
California hospitals, ranging from community hospitals to a large
teaching facility. He has both clinical and financial
experience
as Director of the Clinical Laboratories at a large teaching
university hospital and Administrative Director of Patient Business
Hospital at the same facility. Currently, he is the Vice President
of DSH Operations servicing states across the country. Other
responsibilities include Medicaid DSH for multiple states and the
audit/review of Medicare Discharge/Transfer issues.
Mr. Tan has a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and is licensed
as a MedTech. He completed his Master's in Business Administration
from the University of Redlands in 1998. He is a current member of HFMA, in Northern California.
