Corinna Goron, MBA, FHFMA

Corinna is President of Healthcare Reimbursement Services in Dallas Texas. She currently leads this specialty firm in providing comprehensive Medicare reimbursement services to hospitals throughout the United States. Since 1998, HRS business units’ service Medicare Disproportionate Share hospitals in a number of states as well as pursuing Medicare Cost Report Reopening’s and Appeal avenues for proper conformance to complicated statutory reimbursement formulas. Her firm’s expertise includes the filing, documentation and submission of Medicare DSH packages, analysis of Uncompensated Care and documentation of Crossover Bad Debts logs. Corinna’s efforts vary between legislative pursuits during the rulemaking process, pursuing regulatory conformance through the Provider Reimbursement Review Board process and working with healthcare legal specialists in federal court proceedings.

She has an extensive background in hospital finance from community hospitals to university teaching institutions. Corinna’s career includes accounting, budgeting and forecasting to refinancing hospital bonds to due diligence on licensing issues, mergers and acquisitions, along with reimbursement and billing methodologies leveraging technology. Previously she served as the Controller for an 800 bed, not for profit university teaching hospital including responsibilities for the finance and reimbursement departments and served on several financial Task Force committees.

Corinna graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting. She earned a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Redlands in California. She is a member and chair of the program committee for the Louisiana chapter of Hospital Financial Management Association (HFMA) and a member of American Health Care Lawyers Association (AHLA). She is Board Secretary for the Texas Association for Healthcare Financial Administration (TAHFA). Recently, Corinna received the distinction of becoming a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA) complementing her previous Certified Healthcare Financial designation.
